Basic and supplementary cover
I look at your current policy, or explain how to choose one from scratch: deductible, model (HMO, family doctor, Telmed), insurer, and whether the supplementary cover you have (or are being sold) actually makes sense.
For newcomers making the move to Switzerland
"...follow these 5 tips and you'll be fine with insurance, pillar 3a and the paperwork."
The same advice for millions of very different people.
↳ it doesn't know your salary, your canton or your situation. And often, whoever wrote it earns a commission on what they're recommending.I've already been through this. You get an answer that actually fits your situation, on a call, even if that answer is "don't change a thing, what you have already works."

Why this exists
It's easy to find accounts promising to tell you everything you need to know about living in Switzerland. The problem is it's almost always the same advice for everyone. And often, whoever gives it earns a commission from the insurer, bank or agency they end up recommending.
I don't sell policies, I don't manage your pillar 3a, and I don't take a commission from any company. I charge for my time, not for what I sell you. If your current insurance already works for you, I'll say so straight, and you save yourself the switch.
Who's on the other end of the line
I've lived in Switzerland for over 6 years. I arrived single and childless. Today I'm married with kids, so I've personally gone through nearly every change that affects your insurance, your pillar 3a and your taxes: single, married, with kids, without kids. I've also changed canton and employer more than once, so I know first-hand how health insurance, taxation and retirement planning change from one situation to another.
I also live with a chronic health condition, which meant I had to really understand how basic and supplementary insurance work in Switzerland: what they actually cover, what they don't, and when paying more for them is worth it.
Over the years I've ended up mastering things most people only deal with once in their life: how to optimize pillar 3a and 3b, the tax difference between filing single or married, with or without children, and how to make the most of every canton or job change instead of just getting through it.
I'm not an insurance broker or agent. I'm someone who has been through every one of these processes, and now saves you the time (and the expensive mistakes) of figuring them out on your own.
What I can help you with
Book just the topic that's on your mind right now. Need more than one? It's cheaper to combine them into a single call.
I look at your current policy, or explain how to choose one from scratch: deductible, model (HMO, family doctor, Telmed), insurer, and whether the supplementary cover you have (or are being sold) actually makes sense.
I review your existing 3a or 3b, or explain how to set one up: bank or insurer, which fund, how much to put in each month, and what it actually saves you in tax.
Job hunting, the residence permit, registering with the commune, opening a bank account. Everything nobody tells you before you move. You leave the call with things clear and a list of what to do next.
Which cover actually makes sense in Switzerland and which is a waste of money, what's mandatory and what isn't, and how to compare offers without losing a whole weekend to it.
We cover all four topics in a single 90-minute call. It's cheaper and faster than booking the four sessions separately.

Before you book
No. I don't sell policies or take a commission from any insurer, bank or agency. The only thing I charge for is the consultation itself, so I have no reason to recommend anything that isn't right for you.
No. You decide and contract directly with whoever you choose. I give you the information and the recommendation; the paperwork and the signature are always yours.
You pay when you book, with Twint, card or bank transfer. That's what confirms the slot.
Give me at least 24 hours' notice and I'll refund you in full. Less notice than that, and the session counts as used, no refund.

Legal notice
The information and recommendations I give are personal and for guidance only, based on my own experience living in Switzerland. I am not a registered insurance broker or agent, I don't handle contracts, and I don't get commission from any insurer, bank or financial institution. The final decision on any product (insurance, retirement plan, bank account, and so on) is always yours, and it's worth confirming the details with the relevant provider before signing anything.
